Midday begun as a photography series developed especially for a month long solo show at Nokia Kirjasto-ja kulttuuritalo Virta, Nokia, Finland (1-30.09.2021).
Midday is summer
Midday is a new addition to a series of works, which focuses on times of the day. Sitting between previous publications Dusk and Dawn. It is a photo series based around the idea of 'fleeting moments'.
The series depicts an afternoon picnic blanket in situ over the course of a midday lunch. The book is a thin landscape format which opens out into full page ‘fabric’ spreads. Like unfolding a picnic blanket.
